Mom's Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
  • 12 ounces of cranberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • zest of one orange
Instructions
  1. In a sauce pan over medium heat, mix sugar and juice.
  2. Stir to dissolve sugar while bringing mixture to a boil.
  3. Add cranberries (do not thaw if frozen) and zest, and return to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and boil gently for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and cool completely at room temperature.
  6. Store in refrigerator for up to a month.
Notes
* Recipe easily doubles or triples.
