Smoked Gouda Grits

Ingredients
  • 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground white pepper
  • 1 cup uncooked quick-cooking grits
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded Smoked Gouda cheese (about 6 ounces)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Instructions
  1. Bring first 4 ingredients to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Gradually whisk in grits.
  3. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until thickened.
  4. Add cheese and butter, stirring until melted.
  5. Serve immediately.
