- ¾ ounce rye whiskey
- ¾ ounce Cognac
- ¾ ounce sweet vermouth
- 1 teaspoon Bénédictine
- 2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- Garnish: cherry
- Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass and fill with ice. Stir for 20 seconds with a bar spoon or long spoon.
- Strain into a Martini glass (served up) or Old Fashioned glass filled with ice (preferably one large cube).
- Garnish with a cherry.
