Syrup
Cockail
- 2 ounces dry gin
- ¾ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ¾ ounce honey syrup
- Garnish a strip of lemon peel
Make Syrup:
- In a saucepan set over medium-high heat add honey and water. Stir until honey completely dissolves and mixture comes to a simmer. Remove pan from heat. Let cool. Refrigerate (up to two weeks) until ready to use. Makes about 1 cup.
Make Cocktail:
- In a shaker filled with ice, add gin, lemon juice and honey syrup. Shake.
- Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with ice. Garnish with a strip of lemon peel.
* Can be served straight up in a martini glass.
* Honey syrup makes about 10 cocktails.
